Kedeen Cummings was born in Jamaica and migrated to Canada over a decade ago. Kedeen attended the University of Winnipeg, where she graduated with her BA in Conflict Resolution Studies and International Development Studies and the University of North Dakota with her Master of Social Work. Kedeen works in the field of child welfare. Prior to this, she worked in settlement services. Her career, volunteer and advocacy in the community has been driven by her passion to strengthen individuals and families. She is a firm believer that kindness is the oil that takes the friction out of life. When she is not working or volunteering, Kedeen loves to spend time with her family and friends, relax and listen to music or go for walks.
